7 vs 7 formations

We continue to have issues protecting the backside in a 7 vs. 7 formation. We are indoor and play one striker forward, then two midfielders, then a center mid, followed by two defenders. Any recommendations on what to do to do a better job controlling the middle of the field and covering the back side?

Thanks

THE ANSWER

Well, the best thing you can do is to force the striker to help you down the field as well. He should not work so hard but enough to stress the opponents to pass the ball earlier which will hopefully lead to more mistakes. Also, to protect the backside, your midfielder should be working more in defense, as if they were doing it now, you would not have this dilemma.
