I am a small asian boy as well, though I am 21 years old now. My first time playing soccer was when I was 15 years old. I was slighty below average in height and size at the time at 5ft 1in. I almost got cut from my high school team I tried out on but luckily I made it. I was one of the worse player on the team.
But by practicing every day, juggling everyday, watching soccer, and looking at what I need to work on, I became a top player by my senior year in high school. After high school I went on to play college soccer. Now, I am only 5ft 3in and is competing with players who are 6ft on average. It is hard when I play center mid-field and is not the biggest or strongest person though I have great ball control and vision to create plays.
There is no secret on how you can become a great soccer player. All it take is dedication and practice practice practice.

When I played my first game, I was 14... I thought I would be pretty poor (and I did). I played deep in the backs and never played attacking which I loved. I practiced about 2 hours a day and three on the weekends and then one match. I think it was the 7th match I slide tackled then ran up the field and slotted one in. The next match my coach put me into the midfield for a bit. I scored 2. That was 3 years ago in 14s division six... Now I am playing 17s division 1 and am the star player of my team playing right attacking midfielder and occasionally wing. My average goals per game are now 2... Keep trying, practice, watch, and PRACTICE and I?m sure you will be awesome. I wish you all the best!
