I have collected these tips during my soccer career by reading books about some of the best soccer players in the world, watching documentaries about them and all other types of information that I could get my hands on.

You Must Work Hard

Develop the ability to work hard. Many great soccer players have said that it doesn’t matter how talented a soccer player is if he is not prepared to work hard. It is therefore crucial to see every practice and game as an opportunity to improve your skills.

Talent is Crucial

Having enough talent, and using your talent to your advantage. You must be aware of that many great soccer players in the world were great talents during their youth. Of course, you are not guaranteed anything no matter how much talent you have.

However, without enough talent you will have a hard time when it comes to achieving your goals. The soccer agent that discovered great Diego Armando Maradona said once that talent is something you are born with but it is then up to you to make something useful with it.

Avoding Injuries

Try to avoid serious injuries. An injury could ruin your whole soccer career and you need to be prepared for that.

You will for example need to play well at the right moments, keep your enthusiasm and believe in yourself, have right people around you which are pointing you in the right directions, coaches believing in your abilities and so on.

You have to realize that there are many things that you can’t affect in your life. That is why you will need a good of piece of luck if you want to become the best of the best.
