Deflected ball

by Anas
(Jordan)

First I play mainly with my left foot. I do this move at times but it needs very precise action from the player. You should also perform it only in a one on one situation. I like to perform this one near the side line which means that if you are playing as winger you should absolutely learn it.

So, how to perform the move? Well, first I start to drive the ball with the outside of my left foot. Then I move my left foot over the ball (in scissors like style). When my left foot is on the ground and the ball is between my two legs I will fake another scissors like move.

This time by using my right foot but without lifting it much so instead of moving my right leg over the ball I give the ball a slight touch with the inside of my right leg to make the ball go in slightly fast motion to the left where my left foot is located.

The ball will hit the inside of my left leg and get deflected in the opposite direction "the right" so the defender will be faked thinking the ball has continued to the left of me which is his right and that will clear an opening for the player.
