Flip Flap Turn

by Farid Hamid
(Edgware, United Kingdom)

This turn is a flip-flap which goes inside your own legs and makes you twist around facing the opposite direction. The best thing about this is that it can be used in a match situation out on the field, as well as in small sided games.

Steps to execute this trick:

1 - Start by doing a normal flip flap move, by touching the ball out with your little toe area and quickly flicking your foot around the ball to bring it in with your big toe area.

2 - Once you can do that, try to do the flip flap but as the ball is coming back in move your other leg forward and twist your body.

3 - At the same time you are doing step 2, you should still be in the flip flap motion. Now move your other leg forward and twist from your hips. This creates the turn and as you do this, bring the ball further inside of you so it goes behind your other leg and you can face the other direction.

Following these steps should make you execute this turn well. This can be used in a match situation to turn away and into space.
