How I started Coaching

In 1995 my 12 year old daughter tried out for Travel Soccer. Word got back to me that she had placed #8 out of 26 players. I was ecstatic. Couple of weeks later I get a call from the 'Tryout Committee', "Your daughter placed #17 on the list and that I should coach the second team so that my daughter and other girls can play.

Long story short, this was the best thing that happened to us. The 'A' team folded in a couple of years. I kept coaching my daughter until U-19. Today my 22 year old daughter coaches two teams with me and loves it. Who knows what would have happened had she been on the 'A' Team. But, my daughter is happy and the girls love her. She is a good coach.
