How To Become a Good Striker in Soccer?

by Maheeb Chowdhury
(Dhaka city , Dhaka , Bangladesh)

Hey Mirsad
I m a striker but I am very slow. My finishing is not that good and I don’t have any shot power but my passing sense is good but I guess I don’t have the quality to score a goal :(

THE ANSWER

Hello Maheeb
Scoring goals is all about confidence. If you don’t believe that you can score goals then you will not either score any, it is not more difficult than that. Also, shooting power is not a guarantee for scoring goals. Instead, you need to shoot in right situations and near the posts to beat the keepers.

In order to improve your condition skills I would advise you to do is to practice perform runs with and without the ball. However, if you are younger than 15 I would not recommend you to focus too much on the fitness part as it will come naturally.

Instead, you should try to play soccer as much as possible. Keep in mind that the more you practice the better you will become. There is no secret formula for becoming a successful striker. Only hard and focused work will help you. It is the same like with studying, the more you study, the better grades. I hope this helped and if you have any further questions feel free to ask them.

/Best regards, Mirsad
