How to kick from outside of the ark?

by Angelo
(Seattle, Washington, U.S.A)

Hi, my name is Angelo and I am having a difficult time shooting. I play for a premier club but I think that is because of my ball handling skills. Try outs are in two months. I need to figure out how to kick hard and score from outside of the ark. I kick with the side of my foot. Is that the way to go? It would also be nice to provide some information about kicking with an out swerve. I'm 11 years old.

/Angelo

THE ANSWER

Hello Angelo, the inside part of your foot is great when you are near the 18 yard box. However, for longer shots, I would prefer to use the instep of my foot. I have described all the different shooting techniques in the "Kicking" and "Shooting" sections.

I believe they should help you improve your shot. Also, do not forget to practice a lot as improving your shooting skills requires a lot more than just learning the proper technique behind it.
