Injury, the worse moment for soccer players.

by Edwin Rosales
(redwood city,cali)

Being injured can be one of the most difficult moments. A soccer player sooner or later has to go through. In order to get fully healed you will need to take some time off, be smart and have a lot of mental strength.

My story started a year ago during the first league game of the season (I was well prepared for the season because I have a lot of experience and I had years practicing). And yes was right, I scored a goal from a free kick but, minutes later I sprained my ankle really bad.

Immediately I went to the doctor and he said I needed at least 2 months of rest I was frustrated about it and did not listen to him (big mistake). I went back to practice 2 weeks later only to sprain my ankle again and make things worse. My stupidity made me go back again after 2 weeks without getting any treatment or healing done.

CONSEQUENCES
Until now I still have problems with my ankle and I am not able to reach my full potential haven't scored any goals and I don’t play as much as I used to. I am still struggling to get back my confidence back I am so frustrated about it, and I want you guys to learn from my experience and don’t make the same mistake. If you get injured, do what your doctor says and BE PATIENT.

MORAL
You will go through hard times; it’s about getting through them.
