Instep Drive is The King of Shooting

Instep drive is very efficient when you want to fire a long range shot with great power. However, the biggest disadvantage with this type of shot is accuracy. Because of the power you put on the ball, it will be hard to control the shot on the same way like if you were using the inside part of your foot.

When performing the instep shot you should try to keep your body relaxed. This will make it easier for you to steer the ball where you want. Make sure also to arch your upper body forward in order to keep the ball low on the ground. Now, let’s check out how to perform it:

1. Start by approaching the ball at a slight angle.

2. Stretch out one of your arms to add more balance.

3. Place your supporting foot few inches away from the ball.

4. Perform a pending movement and let your kicking foot move upwards.

Summary
The movement mentioned in the last step is often referred as the follow through movement. This is the most crucial part of the shot as you need to get this right in order to boost your shot with enough power. With other words, better through movement is equal to a better shot.
