WHAT TO DO?????
by: Anonymous

Hi My name is Michael Molchanen.
I started playing soccer at 11.
I started loving it when i was at karate practice before the end of the practice we would play 20 minutes of soccer, i didn't like it before then. I tried playing at 10 didn't like it.
So i quit, than at 11 we had 4 teams and my team was playing against the best team out of 4. (At that time i only like to play basketball.) but at that game i scored my first goal, and it was indescribable feeling of excitement. We won. From that time i played soccer and try to do everything to learn.
I play with grown people. Mostly i always get picked last. Because i couldn't score a goal. But now i started to score goals and it's awesome. I always want to practice as much as i can. I'm obsess with soccer. But my step dad tells me i have no talent. he watch me play like 2 years ago, and now im alot better and he tells me to quit because he says i will be a bum.
I don't know what to do because i see all those african people who want to become pro and at age 29 they still believe they can. I'm going to try out for red bulls this summer hope i can make it. i feel not quitting is the right way but i don't know if the future will smile at me.
