Is it too late for me to start soccer?

by Tanner
(Illinois, United States)

I'm 11 years old and I was wondering if it is too late for me to play soccer. I played soccer in 1st grade and then played baseball for a while but now I am feeling that Soccer is the sport for me. I bought a soccer ball and I've practiced dribbling. I am in good shape and interested in soccer. Please answer my question and can you tell me any tips to get better/improve?
Thanks.

THE ANSWER

Hello Tanner, it is never too late to start playing soccer but I do not know what goals you have with your soccer career. Do you just wish to play soccer for fun or do you want to become professional? I bet it is the last one, if so then you need to be prepared that it will take a lot of hard work if you want to succeed.

You can find everything you need in order to succeed on my site but if you’d like more information that can speed up your development, I recommend you to check out my soccer positions book which comes with 3 other books that are crucial for your soccer well being and development.

Wish you all the best
