Kicking The Ball in Soccer By Using Your Weak Foot

My name is John and I have been playing soccer for 12 years. During these years I have seen a lot of players missing great scoring opportunities just because they didn’t know how to kick the ball with their week foot. I admit that when I started to practice on my weak foot I had very hard to adapt myself. It was like I had borrowed a stranger’s leg and wanted to learn how to play soccer with it.
Anyway, after practicing on it for 3 months or so, I started to notice some improvements. In the beginning I wasn’t even able to hit the goal, however, now I was suddenly able to even kick the ball hard and with accuracy which surprised me a lot. I was like "What is happening?" I never thought that I would be able to learn how to use my weak foot and now I was using it during my practice as well.
What is even stranger is that I have scored more goals with my weak foot then what I have done with the stronger leg. I know, it is completely unbelievable but my stats are 10 goals with my weak foot and only 3 goals with my stronger foot.
Also, I’ve scored some really beautiful goals like a 35 yard half volley and a bicycle kick outside the 18 yard box (with my weak foot). And I’ve done everything this in just one season. I never took my coach seriously when he told me that I would have scored more goals if I just spend some time on improving my weak foot.
However, today I know that he was right and I should really have listened to him before. So, I strongly recommend that you should immediately start to practice on your weak foot as you will be able to improve your performance and score more goals as well. If you study all great players you will notice that all of them are able to score goals by using their weak foot.
So, if you hear someone claiming that practicing on your weak foot is just a waste of time, do not listen to that person! So, now it is up to you to do the hard work as your skills will not come out of nothing, you have to invest a lot of time in them.
