Learning Soccer at 20

by Yugendra
(Georgetown, Malaysia)

I had breathing difficulties when I was small and it has been a few years since I have recovered. But not learning how to kick a ball made me miss so much fun my other friends had.

So is it possible for someone who is almost 20 to learn soccer mind u I haven’t kicked a ball in 10 years? I have the passion but I have no idea how I generally enjoy physical activities but where do a novice like me practice?

Thanks.

THE ANSWER

Hello Yugendra, I am sorry to hear about your breathing difficulties. I am glad that you are recovered now. When it comes to learning soccer, it doesn’t matter actually how old you are. The only thing you need to pose is a will to learn and a lot of practice.

If you practice at least 1 hour per day, I can ensure you that soon you’ll notice some great improvements in your skills and you will not have any problems to play with your friends. Are there any amateur teams that you can join over there? I bet there is at least one that you can sign up for without any specific requirements on your current skills.

Wish you all the best /Mirsad
