Receiving The Ball With Chest

by Peter
(Orlando)

I know how pain it can be to receive the ball with my chest so I’d like to share some tips on how you can avoid these pitfalls. Simply, when receiving the ball with your chest, make sure to relax. This is very important as if you are not relaxing the ball will just bounce off just like if you were kicking it against a wall. Also, the chance of getting pain is much bigger.

Second tip is to always arch your back. By doing that you will be able to cushion ball and also get control over it faster than if you were just standing straight. This one took me a while to learn but once I did that it was like cycling, a piece of cake.

Third and last tip I have for you is to bend your knees about 45 degrees when receiving the ball. By doing this you will be able to keep your balance once the ball land on your chest. So, that should be it. If you follow my tips and use them during your practice I am sure that you will not have any problems with receiving the ball by using your chest.
