Scissor Soccer Move

by Chris Culp-Cano
(Frederick, Maryland, United States of America)

The following two moves, the full scissors and half scissors should be an obvious part of any soccer players dribbling arsenal. Simply, being able to perform these will make you feared among the opponents no matter how skillful they are. However, keep in mind that you need to have confidence in what you are doing, otherwise you will never be able to get around any opponent.

a. The Full-Scissor move:
When performing this move, all you have to do is just step over the ball with your other foot, so basically you'll step over the ball with both feet. After the full scissor step-over, you can use the outside of your foot and push the ball away. The Full-Scissor move is good when you have two defenders, and the half-scissor is good when you only have one defender.

b. The Half-Scissor move:
All you have to do is just step over the ball once and then push the ball away with the outside of your foot. This move is really good on when you’re on the offensive side of the field and you’re up against some very skillful and "difficult to get around" opponents.
