Soccer Conditioning?

by Sandra
(Florida)

I started my first day of soccer conditioning; I have absolutely no experience with soccer it's my first year trying it. I'm a freshman in high school. It was so hard for me to keep up we had to run so much I thought I was going to die. We had a lot of water breaks but couldn't sit down.

I was so tired, I felt like I was going to throw up and I felt so dizzy. I did drink a lot of water & it was very hot, I live in Florida! My question is will it get easier for me later on when I get used to all the running and drills?

THE ANSWER

Hello Sandra, yes of course it will, the more you are practicing the easier it will become. After few months you will be very fit and it will be a piece of cake to play a regular 90 minutes game without even feeling tired. However, do not just you should not only focus on improving your fitness, instead, involve the ball as well and you will improve your ball skills and fitness abilities in one punch.

If you want to learn more about soccer fitness and improve your ball skills as well I would recommend you to take a look at the The Ultimate Guide To Soccer Positions which covers everything you need to know in order to succeed as soccer player.
