This story really hit home for me. I don't think I'm the best player by far. I started a year ago (when I was 12). At my school there are some really good elite girls that play soccer, so it's pretty easy to get discouraged and think "Gosh, it's so unlikely, especially with talented girls like that, that I'll ever get to play college soccer."
Your story showed me that even the average, mediocre player can end up being a really good, elite player. I recently had a period of lazy time where I just couldn't bring myself to practice. Your story has ended that period. Tommorrow my soccer ball and I have a date in my back yard ;) Thanks for the motivation man and I hope you do great things on your state team.
