Soccer Confidence and Never Giving Up

by Jordan Scott
(Australia)

I have never been the best soccer player, yet I am still doing my best to improve my skills every day. Since under 10 I have been playing b's and I always wanted to play 1st division. My determination to achieve this goal motivated me to get out in the backyard and practice all of my skills, dribbling, tricks and ball control.

It got my confidence up really quickly and I felt really good about myself and I thought I could achieve a lot. I decided to trial for a rep team in my area, I got in and their training was really helpful. I became a smarter and better player in no time, I then went on to play for state which I am currently doing now in under 15s.

I hope this story helps to motivate others as even though I was never the best practicing in the yard every day helped me to get where I am. Make sure to never give up as if you do, you will not achieve anything. Instead, you will only increase your frustration and bad confidence that will follow you for a long time.
