Soccer Field Dimensions

Soccer Field
The overall dimensions of a regular soccer field are:

Minimum length: 100 yards (90 m)
Maximum length: 130 yards (120 m)
Minimum width: 50 yards (45 m)
Maximum width: 100 yards (90 m)

Middle Line
The middle line of a soccer field is divided lengthwise by the midfield line.

Center Circle
The center circle is located in the centre of the soccer field and is about 10 yards in diameter.

18 Yard Box
Another common word for 18 yard box is the penalty box. The box is about 44 yards wide and 18 yards deep. It also has an arc that can be spotted 10 yards from the penalty mark. In the 18 yard box the goalkeeper is the only player that has permission to grip the ball. You should also avoid slide tackles in this area as they could easily result in a penalty kick.

Penalty Spot
The penalty spot inside the 18 yard box is located 12 yards from the end line. This is the spot from where the penalty kicks are taken.

Goal Area
The goal is located inside the 18 yard box. It is about 20 yards wide and 6 yards deep. The goal kicks are taken from this box.

Corner Kick Area
This is a 1 yard quarter circle and marks from where the corner kick should be taken. Still, many soccer players tend to place the ball outside this area during the corner kick which is not allowed.

The Goal Size
A general adult goal is about 24 feet wide and 8 feet high. In professional games the goal need to be bored in the ground and it should not be possible to move it.
