Soccer Fitness Plus Heading

This exercise not only helps with heading but improves you soccer fitness as well. I have created a small diagram below that explains how to perform the exercise. It is pretty simple but yet very effective so make sure to your very best during if you want to benefit from it maximally.

1 - - - 2 ----->

Player 2 is standing while player 1 faces him on his knees. Player 2 feeds the ball slightly in front of player 1 who dives forward to head the ball so he/she ends up on their torso. They have to get back up to kneeling position and continue this drill whilst moving across the pitch. Once at the other side players can swap over. This can also turn into a race to add a competitive part to the drill.

As I said, during any drill, it is very important that you are doing your very best if you want to improve your soccer skills maximally. What you put in is what you will get back; it is not more difficult than that. Do not expect either to improve a particular skill over a night.
