The position of forward NEW
by: Anonymous

I believe that you do not have to score in every game to be kept on the field. I would say that you should attempt to score every game when you are in the adult leagues, but you do not need to put so much pressure on yourself just to be kept in the game. The position of forward is where you have a determination to create scoring opportunities for your team, as well as making runs so that you have the opportunity to score. The forward also needs to make sure that he or she is quick with and without the ball. They should at least try to beat the defender the first chance they get. If the are not able to then they should realize that they need to find passing opportunities to create that scoring opportunity. The main goal of a forward is to score yes, but you must remember that anyone on the field is capable of scoring a goal.
