Special Soccer Move

by Chelsea Bennette

This move is an easy and effective trick to fool your opponent. All you do is hit the ball back and forward with your feet making your opponent go the wrong way. I often use this move to get around my opponents and I believe that you should be able to benefit from it as well. Here is how to perform the move:

1) First, put the ball a bit in front of you.

2) Take your kicking foot around the ball as if you were performing a step over move.

3) Hit the ball back (not too hard) with the heel of your kicking foot.

4) Now, Hit the ball forward with your non-kicking foot.

5) Quickly do a step-over with your non-kicking foot.

6) Catch the ball with your kicking foot and finish off with a shot or pass.

Tip
Practice this move until perfection before trying it in a real game. It is effective and will help you get that goal that is well deserved if you perform this trick correctly. Keep in mind also that you should not be afraid of failure. You will never get around your opponent if you are afraid of losing the ball to him.

Instead, encourage yourself and have fun! Believe me, if you do so, the results will come naturally. One thing I’ve learned in soccer is that you need to fail first, raise your up and then succeed. This is very important and I want you to keep in mind that! Now, get out there now and practice!
