The 3-1-4-1-1 Soccer Formation

by Romas
(Ireland)

Here is a formation that my team uses to beat our opponents. We have been playing very successfully with this one and you should feel free to try it out with your team as well. In fact, we have won about 80% of our games thanks to this unusual but yet pretty simple formation.

The line of the formation is following;

Left Fulolback - Centre Back - Right Fullback

Defensive Front

Left Wing Back - Central Midfielder - Central Midfielder - Right Wing Back

Centre Forward

Striker

My team has been playing with this formation for a long time and as I said we had some really great success with it. The two central MF, R-L Wing back and Central Forward plus Striker are the backbone and have the highest responsibility for controlling the game. If they fail to fulfill their duties the rest of the team will perform poorly as well.

Keep in mind that it may take a while for your players to get used and realize how to play in this formation. However, once they master it you will start to see some great improvements and the opponents will not have a clue on what to do in order to stop your team for beating them over and over again.
