The importance of relaxing

by John
(L.A)

First of all I want to say congratulations for building this great site. Now, to my story… In the beginning of my soccer carrier I often found myself being pretty nervous about the upcoming game.

I often performed well during our team’s practices. However, as soon as I entered a regular soccer game I completely lost my confidence and started to hide myself from the ball.

I was afraid of making mistakes and I didn’t know what to do about it. However, one day I decided to relax with music before my game and suddenly I started to play well. My teammates were amazed about my performance on the field and everybody wondered what my secret was. I simply told them that I liked to listen on music before my games to get a good rhythm and relax my body.

I know that being nervous before a game is completely normal. However, when it starts to affect your game negatively, you need to do something and change that pattern. You can’t wait on someone to do it for you; instead you have to analyze what is wrong and then try to find a solution on your problem.

That was my 2 cents about the importance of being relaxed before a soccer game.
