What are good ways to practice juggling?

THE ANSWER

Using a small ball - By using a small ball you will increase your juggling skills by several levels. It doesn’t matter what the ball is made of as long as you are able to juggle with it. I personally like to use a tennis ball because it is easy to find and they are also pretty cheap. However, the best option is to get a mini soccer ball to practice with as you can use it on small areas.

Practice in your room - This one is one of my favorites and is really great when the weather is rainy and cold. In order to create more space for yourself, move your bed or TV. However, I must warn you that you should be very cautious when using this method for practicing on your soccer juggling. The reason is that you could easily break a window or a vase.

You may also injure yourself while trying to regain control of the ball as you will probably hit something hard by mistake. I recommend you to avoid using this one while you parents are at home as they will get pretty angry, especially if you break something that costs a lot of money. But, if your parents are not at home and you have nothing ancient (a vase or statue) then go ahead and start to practice.

Use different parts of your body - This is a must if you want to become good at soccer juggling. Don’t limit yourself to only use your feet. Instead, while juggling, try to use your head, thighs, inside and outside of your foot. You may also try to juggle the ball with your shoulders; however this can be above par if you are new to juggling. Bu using different parts of your body, you will also increase your natural feeling for the ball. This means that your ability to receive, cushion and pass the ball will increase as your juggling skills increase.

Practicing with a teammate - This one is pretty fun and you will enjoy it a lot. Simply, call a teammate and ask him or her to come over to play. Bring a ball and start to juggle it between each others. The one that fail to keep the ball in the air is the loser :-) The more you and your teammate practice the better you and he/she will be. If you are new to soccer it will be hard to keep the ball in the air for long time. However, as you and he/she become better at soccer juggling this will be a piece of cake.

I hope this will help you get new ideas on how to practice on your juggling. Good Luck.
